ARMIN RASO IS AN INDEPENDENT PHOTOGRAPHER AND ARTIST BASED IN SWITZERLAND

Working as a professional photographer since 1997 his work covers nearly three decades of documenting all facets of art and culture. Portrait and social photography has become the central photographic discipline in Raso's work, and in spanning genres such as identity, gender, life and art, he directs his artistic pursuits primarily towards emotional responses that influence both his imagery and creative process.

Raso photographs in a classical style pictures with no demands of reinventing the genres. His early portfolio is a versatile collection of oftentimes Arbus, Frank and Parr inspired images, yet still transports a distinctive personal view on the subject. Autobiographical aspects are an intrinsic part of his artistic intention and intertwine the content of situations and encounters, which he is affine to document and make visible.

Armin Raso is the founder of the «Portfolio Masterstudio» and an accredited member of «impressum - The Swiss Journalists».
